Rangers add Shattenkirk, Pavelec in free agency

Rangers agree to deal with defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk and goalie Ondrej Pavelec on the opening day of free agency. Shattenkirk fills a need on the blueline and Pavelec will be the backup to Henrik Lundqvist
